NHL Rumour Report: Latest trade deadline rumour buzz

Some NHL trade deadline quick hits.

- There's a lot percolating around the NHL with just two weeks to go until the trade deadline. Here's a smattering.

- The Tomas Hertl sweepstakes are starting to heat up. And now we finally have a team linked to Hertl: the Avalanche. Colorado is also looking at Claude Giroux, JT Miller and Patrick Kane. They're swinging for the fences.

- I'd be curious to see if Jeff Petry's improved play has teams kicking tires again. We know Petry wants out of Montreal and the team isn't averse to moving him in-season if their price is met. The Flyers are interested, but they might want to wait until the offseason with their season a write-off.

- Nick Paul extension talks appear to have stalled in Ottawa. If they can't sign him, a lot of teams are believed to be interested.

- There's been a ton of JT Miller hype, but if the Canucks take him off the market, there's a growing sense that one or both of Conor Garland and Brock Boeser could be dealt. I'd look at the Bruins and Penguins as possibilities for both.

- We're still trying to figure out which teams are in the bidding for Sabres forward Victor Olofsson. Apparently the Rangers kicked tires but it didn't go anywhere.

- Rickard Rakell could be another option for the Rangers if they strike out on their bigger targets. It really does sound like Rakell is the most likely Duck to move, although teams are pushing hard to get Hampus Lindholm and Josh Manson.
