After months of rumours and speculation, it's now official: Jacob Trouba has asked a trade. Trouba's reported request of a 6 million a year long term deal seems to have startled the Jets, who won't have a lot of spare change kicking around for future negotiations with players like Nikolaj Ehlers and Patrik Laine. With cornerstone defenseman Dustin Byfuglien locked up long term, many wondered if the Trouba negotiations might take a turn for the worse.
