For months on end, rumours have surrounded Matt Duchene, Gabriel Landeskog, Francois Beauchemin, Jarome Iginla and others as turmoil continues in Colorado. And it appears that major bidding wars for the team's top assets are beginning to escalate.
You can add Carolina to the ever expanding list of teams considering Duchene. Over the past few months, rumours have connected Duchene to the Islanders, Senators, Jets and Canadiens.
Carolina is merely the latest in a growing list of teams hoping to poach from an Avs organization seemingly desperate for change.
Despite growing rumours, we're going to hold at a 40% trade likelihood for Duchene. The team won't trade both him and Landeskog, and it would make less sense to give up a top centerman compared to a winger. The asking price is believed to be higher for Duchene, too.
