Blackhawks up to something? van Riemsdyk brothers, Landeskog, Iggy

Reports surfaced this past weekend suggest the team made inquiries for both Gabriel Landeskog and James van Riemsdyk. Both players have been in the rumour mill this season, especially the former.

There are over 100 names on NHL Rumour Report's trade rumour board. Some of those players are longshots to move, while many others will be traded in the not so distant future.

Reports this past weekend indicate that the Montreal Canadiens aren't happy with the play of Tomas Plekanec and may look to move him at some point this season. The veteran centerman has 6 million due to him this season and next.

One of the storylines to keep an eye on now that we're less than two months from the NHL trade deadline is the teeming goalie market. A fair number of NHL clubs either have too many goalies, too few, or are simply worried about losing a goalie to the expansion draft.

The rumours are coming fast and furious out of Colorado. According to reports, Francois Beauchemin is the latest member of the Avalanche to come up in trade talks.

It appears the Colorado Avalanche are determined to dominate the NHL rumour mill once again this season.

At some point in the not-so-distant future, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have to deal with their goalie situation. The team can only protect one of the two in this summer's Vegas Golden Knights expansion draft, and that will undoubtedly be the younger Matt Murray. Fleury, on the other hand, is still elite and will generate plenty of interest when he is put on the market.
