- 7:48 PM - The Duchene trade talks continue into the night. Sounds like Nashville and Columbus are pushing the hardest right now.
- 7:14 PM - The Predators acquisition of Alexei Emelin is interesting. Does that added depth give them the flexibility to move one of their top defensemen for Duchene? Some believe they're still the frontrunner.
- 5:20 PM - GM Joe Sakic isn't feeling pressure to trade Matt Duchene, despite the fact that it's become a pretty big distraction. This could drag out well into the summer, or perhaps into the regular season unless someone ponies up (which could happen any time).
- 4:21 PM - Dallas still chasing high end offense in Marleau and Radulov.
- 3:26 PM - As the forward market thins out, have to think teams start circling back to Matt Duchene. Pittsburgh, Nashville, Columbus and Carolina have been rumoured in recent days, but the list of teams interested is long.
- 2:13 PM - Andrei Markov plans on taking his time before making a decision. That's going to hold up the secondary market for defensemen.
- 2:05 PM - Kings out on Thornton. Toronto, San Jose among teams in the mix.
- 1:00 PM - First hour in the books. Still plenty of big names available on the free agent and trade markets.
- 12:54 PM - Joe Thornton appears to be waiting to see what Patrick Marleau does before deciding whether to re-sign in San Jose.
- 12:51 PM - Cam Fowler re-signing in Anaheim could be the domino that leads to the Ducks trading one of their other defensemen. Teams still calling on Sami Vatanen.
- 12:50 PM - Some buzz around Rangers defenseman Keith Yandle. His name came up around the expansion draft.
- 12:24 PM - Justin Williams to Carolina somewhat of a surprise, but that's where he started his career. Toronto, Philadelphia and the New York Islanders were thought to be in the mix.
- 12:16 PM - Radulov sweepstakes appears to be down to Montreal and Dallas...
- 12:04 PM - Four teams in on Marleau. Still deciding.
- 11:52 AM - Minnesota may be looking at recently bought out defenseman Ryan Murphy.
- 11:46 AM - Rumours that the Stars could be closing in on Alex Radulov. Wonder if that might change Montreal's position on trading Alex Galchenyuk.
- 11:43 AM - At least four teams with interest in Shane Doan.
- 11:38 AM - Let's get this thing going. Busy day ahead.
